Variegated Corncob Euphorbia – Cream, Gold, & Green Beauty

Euphorbia mammillaris f. variegata, commonly known as Corncob Euphorbia or Corncob Cactus, is a spectacular South African succulent prized for its upright, ribbed stems and eye-catching cream, yellow, and green variegation. Native to the dry regions of South Africa, it thrives in bright light, warm temperatures, and excellent drainage. Mature plants can reach approximately 2–3 feet (60–90 cm) tall and may form attractive clusters of branching stems over time. It handles hot summer temperatures around 90–100°F (32–38°C) when established, but should be protected from frost and prolonged temperatures below 40°F (4°C). Water deeply only after the soil has completely dried, reducing watering during cooler months. Like all Euphorbias, it produces a milky latex sap that can irritate skin and eyes, so handle carefully. Its bold variegation and sculptural growth make it a spectacular collector’s plant.
